Vans x Van Gogh Museum

Hanging in museums from all over the world, Vincent Van Gogh paintings had a strong effect on the whole XX century. And for that, Vans partners up with the Van Gogh Amsterdam Museum on a capsule of skate sneakers and women's apparel, both decorated with prints coming from Van Gogh's finest masterpieces. Among the many Vans sneakers available, this time the Cali-based firm opts for Sk8 Hi, Authentic and Slip-On.The first's theme comes from "Almond Blossoms", part of a group of several works and painted in 1890 for the son's birth of his brother Theo: on this elegant Sk8 Hi, white branches seem to float against a blue sky as hint of bliss and joy. On the other way, Vans Authentic are marked by "Sunflowers" graphics, a series of canvas depicting the different blossoming phases of these colorful flowers. Rough brushstrokes shine through these low sneakers' artworks, basically glimpse of sunflowers in flower. To sum up, Vans Slip-On split between the "Skull" painting and shreds of his brother Theo's letters, art dealer and Van Gogh's only close confidant. Vans T-shirts and sweats round off the pack with matching prints and "Vincent & Vans" lettering embroidered on their chest. Get closer to the Van Gogh world and deal with art from a completely different point of view along with Vans!
