The Vans Vault series adds a new colorful art-themed collabo to the books. Vans x Frida Kahlo is born to celebrate the life of the brilliant Mexican painter, leading exponent of the Surrealism and sheer icon of female emancipation in the early ‘900. The capsule enlists three skate sneakers which have been around for a long time, namely a pair of Sk8 Hi, Authentic and also a Slip-On. The prints all over the Vans Authentic draw inspiration from her last painting dubbed “Viva la Vida”, which portrays a composition of juicy watermelons as a metaphor for a life that always deserves to be lived to the fullest.
