Louis Slater himself, founder and street artist, told it was natural for him to incorporate his two main passions in a project that benefits from his career as pro-skater. In every Sex Skateboards drop, the “Sex” graphic details appears almost everywhere together with a pair of stylized lips and graphic references to the artworks of Bacon, Van Gogh and Jonathan Messe. It’s a one-on-one between art and streetwear, a punk attitude quite similar to the Sex Pistols approach - update for the sake of updating, no matter what.
