Jordan

In 1984 the young shooting-guard of the Chicago Bulls signed a five-year endorsement contract with Nike, that was looking for the right person to make breakthrough into basket sneakers market after its success with running shoes. The relationship between Michael Jordan and the Portland-based company led to the first signature shoe inspired to the number 23: the 1985 was Air Jordan 1 year, a silhouette featuring a leather upper with a ventilated toecap placed atop a gum sole equipped with "Air Wedge" cushioning:this model introduced so many new feature to be easily considered the most influential pair of all-time. Besides the first Wings Logo appearance, these kicks turned upside down the sport sneakers market: for instance, the OG "Banned" colorway - black & red instead of the common all-white - force the Chicago Bulls to pay 5.000 dollars per game to allow Michael wore those shoes. The course was clear from the very first step and both Michael and the brand achieved insane peaks of popularity thanks to the outlandish vision of Spike Lee and his legendary adverstising campaigns, in particular just after Jordan III released: the unbelievable 1987/88 season of MJ was topped off with a 3/4 shoe, showcasing a premium leather upper with "elephant" patter inserts and a featherweight yet performing structure that consists of a visible Air cushioning with fine detailing. Jordan V were inspired to British "Spitfire" bomber of the Second World War and it has been the first pair of Jordan sneakers ever with icy additions and foam linings just around the collar; but Michael won his first NBA ring wearing, aggressive kicks highlighting panels that look like the number 23 and heel implant reducing the stress on his feet. Jordan XI went beyond putting the Jordan logo on the map exploiting a never-seen-before sleek figure spotlighting a polish upper with a revolutionary midsole, that presents an all-length Air cushioning and a carbon fiber plate, directly connecting the mesh upper with the Air-Sole technology of the sole. Jordan Eclipse, then, blends basketball sensations with lightweight textures and hip colorways - the new wave of Jordan shoes. Jordan is not only sneakers though: it introduced a game-changing sport apparel, ranging from Jordan shorts equipped with a mini logo to flawless snapbacks, symbols of a real lifestyle rather than a worldwide renowned brand. The Jumpman rules on all Jordan sweatshirts, including tracksuits, crenecks and hoodies: every wardrobe should has a large assortment of sweats, the perfect ally to take on every day with the same energy of the legendary number 23 - Let it fly!
