Dmote began writing in 1987. During the years, studying and applying the techniques he learnt, Dmote develops a very personal approach to graffiti, despite the close relationship with New York's mid '80s semi-wild style. After 20 years spent painting in Sydney's streets, this writer is the perfect synthesis of style. A rock solid style and, at the same time, multicoloured and various, that allowed him to be internatioally appreciated as a writer, but also as an artist and graphic designer. This book shows some of his best handstyles. Or, as he wrote, "This project is a glimpse of my travels, friendships, style and shows a momentary escape from my daily life". Recommended. Limited edition of 500 copies.
Zedz Blackbook unveiled is Zedz first personal book. The book demonstrates a cut through of 25 years of graffiti making and style development. The format resembles an artists sketchbook and is designed in such a way to respire authenticity, the book does not contain any text and focusses on graffiti sketches and style research paving the way for (geometrical) abstract works. The format of the book sprouts directly from the idea that the first and most treasured personal book of a graffiti writer is most likely to be his blackbook in which designing and collecting photo’s of the work has the priority. It is the artist book in it’s most pure state. The blackbook presents all drawings and researches in a chronological order, it highlights and demonstrates periods of excelleration and personal development. At the same time it shows clearly the commitment to graffiti and tells a story without words. Limited edition of 750 signed and numbered copies.
‘I am just trying to be nice’ is a book about the work of Nug, published as a limited edition first run. This exclusive publication comes with a one of a kind book cover Nug made from a new piece of his work cut to pieces. Please note: every single copy has a unique cover made by the artist. Amsterdam based design agency UNDOG – notorious for creating unorthodox and challenging visual communications – created a clean, subtle and at the same time an equally rough and raw design for the 64 page book. This book contains the first true overview of Nug’s work: from exhibitions to graffiti pictures, video stills and paintings, it’s all here, all Nug, in all overwhelming intensity. This release is a collectors item for book lovers, graffiti haters and opinionated people. Nug is a well known name in the graffiti scene. Apart from taking trains and walls on, he’s also created many controversial exhibitions, video’s and paintings. Some define his Works as plain vandalism, others clearly think this is what art is about. These strong opinionated differences even made it into the Swedish parliament and has kept many international art critics included in the debate.

Cosmonometry is the illustrated biography of Pro176, Parisian writer, spokesman for the European school strongly influenced by the New York writing roots. Son of the Paris suburbs, Pro approaches to graffiti from an early age, preferring the RER A station benches, instead of the school benches. The book recounts his approaches to the world of Hip Hop, his desire to escape from the gray landscape of the Parisian suburbs, his first illegal parties in the underground tunnels, his stylistic evolution based on the meeting with the style masters like Bando, Mode 2 in Paris, Poem, Cope 2 and Wane in New York, Recto and Jaba in Liege. Cosmonometry is a true timeline of a key figure in the European world of writing, which has managed to combine the basics of the style of the graffiti mecca with a frantic search for their own method in lettering design. All-round Artist, in the course of his career Pro176 dedicated himself to everything related to the purest form of writing, becoming a master in both its complex masterpiece productions, and in the art of Throwup and tagging, virtually present in every corner of any Parisian arrondisment, until the full consecration of his figure as an illustrator, exhibiting in many galleries in France, Belgium, Germany, England and Switzerland. The book traces his career from the beginning, step by step, documenting his stylistic evolution that, despite being strongly influenced by the 80s overseas style, has come to an evolution based on the passion for the geometry of the letters and the complexity of the unachievable space, which has transformed its pieces into real masterpieces. A must for those who want to deepen their knowledge into the most innovative lettering design of the last decade.
