Water Based 300 ml

Water Based Spray Cans

Montana Colors launches a product which will revolutionize the understanding of spray paints, forever. Water Based 300 is the ecological response to environmental, health and sustainability issues which concern the whole world. But Water Based 300 is not only "Green Footprint", it is a technical spray suitable for all needs. Thanks to its polyvinyl formulation, Water Based 300 emulates the characteristics of traditional solvent-based products, solving all the problems plaguing the traditional water-based spray paints. With Water Based 300, indeed, you won't need no longer to wait endless minutes to apply different color layers: the overpainting has never been so easy. The colors are super opaque, smooth and homogeneous, and thanks to the water-based formulation it is possible to remove the paints from any non-porous surface as long as they are moist, while the state becomes perfectly permanent when dry, allowing the use of it both for professionals and for school / education workshops. Ideal for all artists in the needs of indoor performances, Water Based 300 is also ideal for those who use it outdoor and, thanks to its universal and modular valve, it mounts all the caps on the market, allowing the artist to work in total ease on all surfaces, from glass to wood to metal to concrete. Each can is supplied with a Skinny Banana black cap. Available in 41 standard colors, 5 fluorescent, 2 metallics,2 semi-transparents for glazes and effects and 2 varnishes. The color chart faithfully emulates the pigments' shades used in the fine arts and every spraycan refers, on its tin, the conversion table with Hex colors, CMYK and Pantone colors.

Barry McGee

Barry McGee

Graffiti & Street Art Books

Published on the occasion of the first major survey of Barry McGee’s work, this monumental volume records more than two decades of incredible fecundity, over the course of which McGee has pioneered a new iconography of sharp street vitality and graphic snap. McGee began as a graffiti artist on the streets of San Francisco, working under such tags as Ray Fong, Twist and Twisto, and his work since then has hugely expanded the terms of both street art and contemporary art. The freshness of McGee’s work stems in part from his virtuoso handling and consolidation of a whole panoply of influences, from hobo art, sign painting and graffiti to comics, Beat literature and much else. His extraordinary skill as a draughtsman is energized by his insistence on pushing at the parameters of art--his work can be shockingly informal in the gallery and surprisingly elegant on the street--and by his keen nose for social malaise. This volume revisits McGee’s most influential installations in art spaces, and considers the evolution of his aesthetic within institutional settings. Previously unseen photographs by Craig Costello document the artist’s work on the streets of San Francisco in the early 90s, highlighting the contributions of his friends and mentors. Also included are images from the artist’s famous slide lecture, compiled and refined over the past 20 years, and an oral history of the Bay Area’s Mission School by McGee’s friends, mentors and collaborators. Featuring 450 images, including many never before published, the book is designed by the artist in collaboration with Conny Purtill. Strongly suggested!

Our Side Of The Tracks

Graffiti & Street Art Books

Our side of the tracks presents 70 images from 35 different countries showing us the romantic and artistic atmosphere that surrounds train-writing discipline, all in a purely photographic perspective. The book includes portraits of many of the world’s most famous artists involved in the graffiti scene as well as many of the most visited and the most obscure places, out of reach from the general public, where graffiti writers go to paint on trains. It will not only be the bible in ones library but it will stand as a timeless piece of work in the scene now seemingly over-saturated in books about the subject. A subculture on the rise and the first-hand, behind-the-scenes look at the people, considered criminals, who practice the art known as train painting, the last antidote to blatant advertising. The photos include everywhere from New York’s grimy subway tunnels, Copenhagen’s ever-clean Metro layups, Milano’s gypsy-controlled train yards, Washington DC’s high-security spots, Paris’ legendary underground, to even Switzerland’s perfect trains. Catania’s subway before it was a tourist attraction in the graffiti scene, looking cleaner than ever. Bucharest wholecars covering the windows in 2006. Switzerland’s capital of Bern in the buff. Action in Toronto, Canada. Climbing through windows in Milan. Between the lines in Miami. Belgium, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Germany, England, Spain, France and Austria.
