adidas Originals joins the pop artist Keiichi Tanaami for a full sportswear lineup built around some artworks the Japanese illustrator tailor-made for the Three Stripes. The first chapter of adidas "Gallery Series", a collaborative project involving artists and galleries across the world, draws inspiration from the ancient Japanese tradition of kamishibai, a set of illustrated boards and miniatures used by Buddhist monks to educate the illiterate through moral flings. Prints of fantastic creatures such as Ogon Bat and Syonen Ojya embellish tracksuits, pants and few adidas T-shirts, creating a perfect selection of spring-ready essentials. The all-black textiles make Taanami's psychedelic prints shine on tees and trackpants, all featuring sleeves, side inserts and Trefoil branding worked out in a white hue.
